Made with shell from a discarded bracelet and gold ornate findings from a broken necklace. These are relatively heavy, best for short outings. This piece was inspired by rebel Apashe in honour of his hybrid musical style. He marries classical music and trap/electronic, his 2020 album Renaissance featuring a full blown orchestra. These earrings juxtapose the raw, unaltered sea with ornate, man-made excess; the seabed meets Versailles.
Renaissance bolo ties are pieces are (re)designed and hand made in Canada, and are made from discarded and pre-loved jewelry. Due to the vintage and secondhand nature of the parts used, most pieces are made from alloyed metals and may show signs of wear. All parts and pieces used in the creation of jewelry are carefully selected by the maker despite minor imperfections. Asymmetrical designs and differentiation in pieces and colours are intentional. Each design is unique and one of a kind.
